Specialist learning:

Jessie’s Fund deliver music sessions in our classrooms that help to enhance communication and interaction through the therapeutic use of music. The music sessions provide a platform for our pupils to express themselves and communicate with the world around them. The creative musical sessions are vibrant and fun; allowing our pupils to flourish through participation in music making.

Open Theatre deliver non-speaking physical theatre to explore and develop our pupil’s creativity. The lessons involve the use of a play-based approach, simple props, music, and movement. The programme has had a positive impact on learning outcomes, capacity to learn, confidence and sense of self. Drama lessons are now enhancing communication and social skills in a new, imaginative, and fulfilling way and a as a result, our pupils are thoroughly enjoying the experience.
