Mental Health Champions at Thrive

At Thrive Education Partnership, we believe that mental health is just as important as physical health. Life can be messy—we all have ups and downs—and sometimes, we just need someone to listen. That’s where our Mental Health Champions come in.

Who are they?

Mental Health Champions are trained colleagues who are here to create space for real conversations, challenge stigma, and keep mental health on the agenda for our whole community—staff, students, and families. Each academy has its own Champions, and you can find out who they on your academy’s website.

Mental Health Champions at Thrive

  • Start conversations about mental health and well-being
  • Create a culture of openness where it’s okay not to be okay
  • Run initiatives and activities that keep mental health visible
  • Offer a listening ear because sometimes, that’s all we need
  • Signpost to the right support when more help is needed

What don’t they do?

  • They’re not therapists, clinicians, or counsellors
  • They don’t diagnose, give advice, or provide therapy

They’re just real people, ready to listen, because we all need someone in our corner sometimes.

If you want to speak to a Champion in your school, please see the school’s Champion webpage for who they are and how to reach them.

…Because life is messy, and talking about it makes all the difference.
