SEND West Midlands Festival of Sport 2024/25! The event was held at the wonderful Xcel centre, and it was a day full of fun, teamwork, and amazing sports activities for children from different schools.

We want to say a huge thank you to all the teachers, coaches, and especially the young leaders from local secondary schools, who helped run the activities and assisted the schools. Their support made sure everyone had a brilliant time, and all the pupils got to try out different sports in a friendly and inclusive environment.

The pupils enjoyed a range of games including Boccia, table games, table cricket, curling and boules. Pupils demonstrate generalisation of the skills they have been taught within physical development, as this half-term focus has been games. Further skills include turn taking, problem-solving and developing communication skills - particularly when engaging with pupils from 10 other schools in Coventry. Well done Kingsbury Academy!
