Dippy the Dinosaur!

During the Easter holidays, learners had the opportunity to visit the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum in Coventry as part of the HAF programme. HAF (Half term activities and food) provides activities through local agencies and organisations, for children who are eligible.

Our wonderful Welfare lead Kathryn chose to run an event specifically for our learners, so they could explore the museum at their own leisure and to ensure it was accessible for as many of our Kingsbury families as possible. During the trip, we visited Dippy the Dinosaur, learnt about fossils, participated in a sensory story and made our own fossils and ammonites.

Parents also joined in the event and a hot meal was provided for all the children and their families. Parents and children enjoyed the chance to spend a rainy day doing something fun together and parents expressed that it was nice to see and get to know other parents from the school.
